2017 is going to be the start of something special for our family and we would love for you to be a part of it. January 10th will be the 5th anniversary of Camryn being diagnosed with brain cancer. We sat with Camryn’s neuro surgeon late that first night and asked her if Cam was going to live. Her answer was, “I don’t know.” We went on to find out that she had a 20% chance of survival.
That day changed our lives forever. The adversity we faced was of epic proportions, however there were so many positive things that came from the experience. We became a stronger family, we experienced the true good in people, and we became touched by some very special organizations that made our fight more bearable.
Now, we want to make a difference. We want to give back to the organizations that touched our lives. We recently started a Not for Profit organization to help us accomplish this goal. The organization is called Brains for Hope and our mission is to raise awareness, fund pediatric cancer research and give back.
Our target organizations are:
1. Riley Children’s Hospital
2. Make A Wish
3. Ronald McDonald House
4. Camp Watch Ya Wanna Do
5. Tatum’s Bags of Fun
6. Curesearch
Here is something we read about families fighting cancer. It is absolutely, without a doubt, spot on.
“You are about to see the world at its best – a light in this present darkness. There is an unbelievable amount of good out there. People you have never met or heard of will come out of the woodwork to support you and you will be amazed at just how many people lovingly care for your family. No one has to fight this battle alone.
Let's all work together to help others in their fight against this horrible disease! Thank you for your support and kindness.
