I have wanted to help people my entire life and I believe everyone who knows me finds love and acceptance when they are with me. I have spent a long time in many healing roles, exploring different effective avenues to communicate my passion for engaging the human spirit. My awareness of US is as a collective goodness.
I am challenged daily, as we all are, to appreciate my authentic way of creatively living. This takes a few levels of conscious thought, and is as exhausting as it is gratifying. My family tells me I am wonderful and I am very loved. Still, there is that simmering of unrest which I feel is universal and powerfully useful - if I could just get beyond all that mind chatter, right?! Is the sun really hotter than I remember as a child? Do I need to worry about living so close to sea level? Am I eating 'right'? Am I fulfilling my potential? What did that look my cat just gave me mean?Aggghhhh! So I move my body and I call a friend and I shift my breath. Which works for the moment.
I am working in this world as a "professional" - and with that identity I have been able to stimulate the intellectual in my nature. My level of therapeutic care is rooted in science but more in the connection I feel with each person I have the honor to invite. Can you imagine that I've only just recently begun to turn to my own care with such devotion? In so doing, I have realized the delicate nature of self-cares FAR beyond my OT and yoga training. Investing in myself with a well-earned tenderness of parent, I am compelled now to transition this energy into my personal, professional, and community roles with a method I know will help a great many people. It is called Neurofeedback.
The brain drives our neural system. It operates by way of what literature calls a "symphony" of connections, underpinned by our unique interpretation of the world around and inside us. Heredity, Experience/Exposure and Patterned responses heavily influence the ease of its operations. Though the brain has been studied in countless scopes and measures, I believe the brain is unharnessed in its capacity to "outsmart" any research and to provide evolutionary sensibility to each body it inhabits. This is why I intend to provide Brain Wave Training to everyone seeking optimal well being. Any dysregulation of any nature: Anxiety (my issue), Depression, AutoImmune, Endocrine, Neurological, Sensory-processing/ADD, Spectrum, Pain, Social, CardioPulmonary, Migraines, Tinnitus, Sleep, Eating- anything that intercepts the "functional' operation of the beautiful life we live. Neurofeedback training allows the brain to figure out the underlying neurological snafu/s and invites the brain to its innate capacity for healing.
The treatment takes 15 to 45 minuts. It is non-invasive, non-medicinal. Sensors are placed on the scalp in locations specific to dysregulated areas of the brain (determined by client symptoms and frequency registered by computer software). The visual input helps the individual achieve and stay longer training those frequencies. The brain figures the challenge out swiftly and subconsciously, providing effective results within the 20-40 session course.
I will travel to California for training in August this year. After my return I will purchase the equipment and software, necessary professional education materials and monthly access to continued education, so I can immediately set up a private office for treatment of general public, ages 2+. The total cost is more than I have by many thousands of dollars but the return on the investment will be realized by healing and eventually a successful professional business including manual, movement and neurotherapy- the whole being.
This treatment is not a cure. It is a beautifully effective therapy of 60+ years research devoted toward enhanced well being, general health, performance level of the central operating system we all rely on, the Brain.
