Brain Tumour Support UK
My partner Sian was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor in January 2024. No easy way to describe the effect a diagnosis like this can have on a young family but we've established a "new normal" and have made fundraising a common focus on our journey as a way to say a massive thank you to the surgical team at Southmead Hospital, Bristol and the Brain Tumor Support charity.
Sian has recently raised over £8k through hosting a Charity Fundraiser event in February and I hope to do my bit in raising as much as possible over the next few months when I complete the National Three Peaks challenge on the weekend of the 26/27th July 2025.
I will be completing the National Three Peaks Challenge along with Lewis and my old man, Rob Hooper. The three peaks is an event in which participants attempt to climb the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. Lewis and I will climb each peak in turn, and dad will be driving us from the foot of one mountain to the next. The three peaks are:
-Ben Nevis / Beinn Nibheis (1,345 m or 4,413 ft), the highest mountain in Scotland
-Scafell Pike (978 m or 3,209 ft), the highest mountain in England
-Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa (1,085 m or 3,560 ft), the highest mountain in Wales
The total distance walked is estimated at 44 km (27 mi), with a total ascent of 9,800 feet (3,000 m).
Please donate as much as possible to this amazing charity that has helped my partner through the toughest challenge of her life.
