Brain Tumor - Colby Bailey
Hello all,
we are here to share unfortunate and life altering news for Colby. Colby was with his family the evening of his 11th birthday (04/25) when he experienced a lethargic period followed shortly by a seizure. This resulted in Emergency services transporting him by ambulance to OU children’s hospital.
While at OU children’s, it was discovered that he has a 3cm by 3cm sized tumor near the pituitary gland. Colby is being closely monitored in ICU after experiencing another seizure, nausea, vomiting and lethargic periods.
After several scans and an MRI they’ve found out that the tumor is known as a “Germ cell” tumor. Germ cell tumors are typically cancerous. So with heavy hearts the family has been instructed by medical professionals to go ahead with chemotherapy. Colby has a likely hood of experiencing loss of his hair, nausea, vomiting, sores in his mouth and other things.
Due to his previous seizures, Colby will have to remain in the hospital during his treatments. During this time please donate what you can to contribute to medical costs, work leave for his parents, gas/food, and other expenses for his family.
Thank you all. Keep him in your prayers as he and his family have a long road ahead of them
