White Sox Brain Tumor Awareness Month Fundraiser

This season, The Buckhead Baseball White Sox Majors team is going Gray For May. May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month and the White Sox players are raising funds in honor of 3 members of their families currently fighting battles against Brain Tumors.

Daniel Stevens is the younger brother to Patrick Stevens from the White Sox. Daniel was diagnosed with an Optic Pathway Glioma 18 months ago at the age of 7 and has been undergoing chemotherapy since December 2021. Daniel is also a proud Buckhead Baseball player currently playing for the Single A Prime Times and was selected to the 7U Bucks during his Rookie season in Summer of 2022.

Cole Fennessy and Lawrence Dennison from the White Sox also have family members who have been greatly affected by their own Brain Tumor Diagnoses.

The White Sox players and families wanted to create an opportunity to support a local Atlanta charity, Ian's Friends Foundation, this May for Brain Tumor Awareness Month. Help us "Go Gray for May" by donating here or come out to see us at our Bake Sale at Buckhead Baseball this Saturday May 6th from 11am - 2pm.

Ian’s Friends Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to funding the support of pediatric brain tumor research. Their focus is on the immediate need to develop groundbreaking therapeutic methodologies to treat and cure pediatric brain tumors.
