This little lady's name is Luna. She's only just turned 17 months last night 20th October.
Whilst Luna was being petsitted, misfortune knocked on the door and disaster arrived. Little Luna was in the receiving end of a very unfortunate accident when another dog from the household bit into her tiny head and fractured her skull. This trauma left as a result an 8mm fracture piece of bone from her skull to create pressure between her skull and her brain.
She's remained stable over night, on loads of Opioids and antibiotics. Currently, Luna is tetraparetic due to the trauma. She's also been placed on a feeding tube.
The professionals have advised an early intervention would be beneficial for her speedy recovery. The brain surgery to remove this fragment of skull has been advised to be the best call.
Luna will need physiotherapy to help her recover mobility of her limbs.
I, Luis Lopez, kindly ask your appeal to support us towards the costs this process will entail.
October 23rd, Update:
Luna's had a positive turn around, she's been recovering slowly but steadily.
She's being discharged this afternoon with a weeks worth of medication for her homecare.
The account has totaled to £6,000.
Unfortunately, and the reason of this fundraiser, I didn't have a comprehensive health insurance for her. This means nothing has been covered in her treatment.
I'm urging to express how much any donations you can contribute with, would make such a big impact for this process.
Sharing also goes a long way and is appreciated just as much.
I just want to say, wholeheartedly, Thank you.
The support that has been received is so warming, I font have enough words to put into context.
