Please Help Us Recover From Brain Surgery

Hi, my name is Allison, and I'm Max's mom (and Ava's too!). Due to some previous traumatic events this year, I'm a single-mom, and don't receive financial support. Big sister went off to college, so it's just me and Max now, and I nearly left him when I ended up in the hospital with a brain aneurysm.

 

Three brain surgeries and a week in the ICU later, Max was relieved and overjoyed to welcome me home. Recovery has been harder than I anticipated. As you can imagine, I haven't been able to work for almost a month. I am Max's sole provider, and also have to pay for part of big sister's tuition. Without an entire month of income, I cannot pay rent, food, or any other bills.

 

I set the fundraising amount to pay the monthly and outstanding bills, but it would be amazing it the goal was exceeded and could go toward medical expenses. I haven't received the bills yet. 

 

I am putting pride aside and asking for your help. Max has special needs, so we need to stay in our school district (plus I've found the lowest-cost apartment possible). I've cut out all non-essentials, and cannot get by. By choice, I am a very positive, sunshine-in-a-person kinda gal, so I thought I could do this on my own, but I cannot. So I am setting a good example of self-care for my kids and reaching out.

 

While other people usually create these funds, I am advocating for myself, and doing what I know is right for me and my kids. If you can contribute, I will be so grateful. If you are not able to contribute, I understand and ask that you share this link with others, and I will be so grateful for that as well.
