Hi, my name is Jack.
Recently I suffered a seizure and doctors discovered a tumour in the front of my brain. Since then, I’ve been struggling with talking, memory and walking. I’m scheduled for brain surgery this Monday.
I work full-time as a concreter, but right now I cannot work or drive. I only have two weeks of leave remaining. Doctors have told us that while they hope for a good recovery, there is no guarantee I will be able to return to my physical trade. At this stage, we simply don’t know what recovery will look like or how long it may take.
Our rent alone is $600 per week, and with normal living expenses on top of that, we are facing serious financial pressure while I focus on surgery and rehabilitation.
We are hoping to raise $6,000 to help cover:
• Rent during recovery
• Groceries and essential bills
• Travel and hospital costs
• Ongoing medical and therapy support
This is not easy to ask, but any donation — big or small — or even sharing this page would mean more than we can say. It would allow me to focus fully on surgery and getting back on my feet without the constant stress of how we will manage financially.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give.
— Jack
