Brain hemorrhage - Urgent funding- Airlift Senthil

Hi All,

I am urgently seeking help for my husband Senthil. Senthil and I have been residents of Australia for more than 15 years. He has been a loyal employee of ANZ for more than 10 years. Senthil is a biker, gardening enthusiast and loves cooking.

He underwent a brain tumour removal in March 2023 that was close to his brain stem. He ended up with extensive brain hemorrhage post-operation. He was in an induced coma for 3-4 weeks and never made a recovery after that. It’s been 10 months since surgery and he is still bed-bound, barely moving his body and head. He cannot talk, swallow, or express his feelings. He is on peg feeds.

Months of rehab in Australia has not helped with his recovery. He requires intense therapies that are not available or funded in Australia.

After extensive research we decided that the best alternative option is to fly Senthil to India as there are hospitals and specialists that can help Senthil with his mobility and hopefully help in his recovery.

To transport Senthil in this condition, we have to airlift to India and the cost to airlift one-way is close to $60k, including the costs of a medical team to accompany him.

Apart from this, there will be a minimum of approx $150k cost for his treatment that will include any possible surgeries and also to use robotic assisted technologies and tools for therapies.

We would be greatly appreciative of any assistance you can extend to help Senthil get the treatments he needs.

We are young family with 2 boys, a 13 and an 8-year-old. He is an amazing father and husband and this has been a very challenging and devastating time for us to experience such a tragic situation.

I would want nothing more than to help kids to have their father back.
