Brain Cancer Support for Emily

Hi Everyone,

Emily Ellwood was diagnosed 13 years ago with brain cancer and like the rock star she is, she beat it and was told her tumor would not likely ever return. So, Emily moved on with her life and pursued her dream of becoming a counselor. Lucky for me, she decided to apply with my team and we have LOVED her from day one.

Sadly, Emily suffered a severe setback recently when she started to feel "off" and showing some of the same signs she remembers when she was first diagnosed with brain cancer years ago. Her suspicions and gut feelings were sadly correct, and she was, yet again, diagnosed with brain cancer.

Her tumor is different this time around and the treatment will be intense with brain surgery scheduled on Jan 31st followed by radiation and then rounds of chemo.

In addition to the stressors of this, Emily is stressed about missing work and not earning her full pay for the next few months as she fights this fight again.

Emily is one of the sweetest, funniest, giving people I know and deserves to just focus on her own battle ahead without worrying about her bills piling up.
