Our close friend for decades, the guy our girls call Uncle Saeehim (Sa’heem), needs our help. He had what was thought to be terminal brain cancer in 2007 but after surgery and a very long rehab, he recovered and went on with life as normal. That changed early this year when his routine brain MRI revealed four small brain bleeds. He went from a fully functional hard working adult in his prime to permanently retired in an instant. His oncologist insisted that he must stop working immediately.
After some long discussions, he has decided it is best to sell his home and move in with his family. There is enough equity for him to be fine once it sells, but he does need to put a little work in to prepare the home to list for sale. He also has to pay the mortgage and utilities. This is a considerable difficulty since his income just dropped to zero. He is applying for Social Security disability, but we don’t know how long that will take to go through.
We are asking for help to reach a goal of $15,000.00 to bridge the gap until he can get the home sold, or the Social Security is in place.
Will you please help Saeehim?
He means the world to us and our family, as I am sure he does to many of you. He is one of the constant people in our lives who has always been here for the good times and the difficult ones too. An Uncle to celebrate birthdays, holidays and weekdays. A friend to help when Bryan and I have been sick, including 3am pickups from the emergency room and caring for us when we had COVID or a stomach bug.
Sincerely,
The Truelove Family
