Hi my name is Jonathan and I am fundraising for a co-worker and a friend.
First, I hope you and your family are all well and safe!
Mario Hurboda, Filipino, 53 years old, who is holding a working visa that expires in August of this year, has spent most of his life away from family working overseas. Like most other overseas workers, he does this "to provide a much better life for his family". He is the sole breadwinner in his family. His wife is a homemaker, and his 3 children are still in school.
On 25th of April this year, Mario suffered a stroke. The diagnosis was a life-threatening one - his left temporoparoetal parenchymal hemorrhage and severe hypertension. His aneurysm popped and left a substantial amount of blood to affect his brain that caused him in a very critical condition.
He was brought to hospital in Armadale then was transferred to the ICU in Royal Perth. He was in an induced coma for 3 weeks but luckily got a bit better and was finally moved to the ward for further treatment. Unfortunately, being an overseas worker Mario is ineligiblke for Medicare.
His family flew from the Philippines so they can be with him to take care and look after. Mario's circumstance is quite serious, a life threatening one. Hence, as a co-worker, a friend and in behalf of his family, I am humbly appealing to everyone to please extend your generosity of any amount to support his distress family and to fund other medical cost during his hospitalization and upcoming rehabilitation until he gets back to normal which were not covered by his private insurance. Any act of your kindness is highly appreciated.
Let us gateher and express our support to Mario and his family through this difficult and distressing time of their life.
