Braelynns cancer journey. Let’s beat cancer !

My name is Angel Scroggins, and I’m here to tell you what’s going on with my daughter and my grandbaby. My daughter Nevvan is a 25-year-old mom to 4 kids: Braelynn, London, Tylon, and Taylin. She’s a wonderful mother. Recently, my grandson was diagnosed with a yolk sac tumor that was cancerous and needed to be taken out. We got that taken care of, and now he sees a cancer clinic every month for blood work.
Fast forward to Braelynn. She woke up one morning with what looked like a sprained ankle. She was taken to ortho, and they couldn’t find a break or fracture, so they gave her a boot to treat it like a sprain. Weeks go by, and her foot isn’t any better. One day, she wouldn’t do anything but lay around and complained of her shoulder hurting. We took her to the children’s ER, and they only found she had a high inflammatory marker. So, we got referred to rheumatology. They scheduled her for an MRI, thinking she had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. We got those results back to find out it wasn’t, but it could be leukemia. She went for a bone biopsy, and it confirmed she has leukemia. Now, she is being hospitalized for treatment and will undergo this for 8 months—no school or any big crowds. My daughter will be out of work to be her caregiver on top of taking care of her others.
I’m doing this to help with medical, her and the kids' needs, and bills. She never would have asked for this, so thank you all so much for the prayers and support! #braelynnsworld
