Delting FC Women & Girls are taking on an ambitious challenge this summer to raise funds for two causes that mean a great deal to us.

From the kick-off of the FIFA World Cup open game to the final whistle of the World Cup Final, our players and coaches will work together to cover the incredible distance from our home pitch in Brae, Shetland, to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA - the venue hosting the World Cup Final.

Throughout the tournament, every mile completed through running, walking, cycling, swimming and other physical activities will be added to our team total as we attempt to reach our destination before the World Cup champions are crowned.

This challenge is about much more than football. It's about bringing our community together, promoting physical and mental wellbeing, and supporting causes that make a real difference locally.

All funds raised will be split equally:

50% will be donated to Mind Your Head Shetland, helping support their vital work promoting positive mental health and wellbeing across our islands.

⚽ 50% will be raised for Delting FC Women & Girls, helping us continue to provide opportunities for women and girls to play football, develop their skills, and be part of a positive and inclusive sporting community.
