Brad Thomason Memorial Arts Fund
Donation protected
We are excited to share something special being done in memory of Brad through the Brad Thomason Memorial Fund. We are asking for your help.
As many of you know, Brad couldn’t pass up a good piano bar. He loved to sing and going to a piano bar was absolutely one of his VERY favorite things!
His beginnings in singing and acting all started at his high school in Henderson, Kentucky, where he was active in the choral and drama programs. A well respected and loved choral teacher by all students, Bob Ellis was Brad’s choral director in many performances.
Mr. Ellis had a beautiful baby grand piano that was the centerpiece of all rehearsals and other performances that Brad was a part of, along with his many classmates.
That piano still exists today and is in desperate need of refurbishment. It is something many of the hundreds of students of the late Bob Ellis will treasure along with the community as a whole.
We are happy to announce that some of the funds collected to date in Brad’s memory will go towards the partial refurbishment of that treasured piano. We still need a little more help to get this completed as we are only halfway there. Once, complete, Brad’s photo and plaque will be permanently affixed to this treasured instrument!
In honor of , we ask for any donation to help us complete this memorial. In addition to the piano restoration, our goal is to continue contributing to worthy causes in support of the Arts in Brad’s name.
The piano will be a part of the newly formed SoFA or School of Fine Arts at Henderson County High School. SoFA enriches the lives of students from all walks of life by connecting public and private entities to create exceptional in-depth arts curriculums and learning experiences for both the students and residents of Henderson County. It’s an exciting time for the arts in Henderson for youth and we know that Brad would be elated. He would want to be right in the center of it....and this way, we are making sure he will be permanently!
Please share and circulate.
With love, Brad’s family
