Brad's BMT Fund - Tampa 2021

Donation protected
Dear family, friends, fellow vets, and supporters:

We raised $$$$ last August and I am in need again. So I am respectfully requesting a total of $4000 as an updated goal. We again like last time only have a couple weeks until June before my transitional expenses come due. I was able to use the $1740 already raised to get moved to Tampa from Los Angeles last September, but am again in financial need.

I am the guy who doesn't ask for help. I am the independent veteran that lives a life of never-ending service to those around me. Since arriving in Tampa I have logged 270 hours in volunteerism with various local/community groups and veteran service organizations. I try to be the friend that is there for others in their time of need. My doctors don't want me working, but it is critical that I stay physically active. Volunteering has been my antidote.

I did not ever imagine I would be the transient, medically-disabled, 41 year old with a non-malignant cancer due to a missing gene sequence within my DNA. The only way to resolve the resulting severe dysfunction in my immune system and stop the self-destructing inflammation of my body systems is to undergo an allogenic bone marrow transplant. However, after thorough evaluation for BMT at Cedars Sinai in LA they determined my liver is already damaged to the point that it is necessary to have a liver transplant beforehand. I have since relocated and been established with housing in Tampa through the HUD/VASH voucher program so that I can begin optimization and transplant protocols accordingly.

I appreciate and am grateful for those that are able to help support me through these difficult, ever-changing circumstances. Many of you know me and my life story. If you don't, ask me! I promise it will bless you because it's God's story of unlimited grace and great faithfulness.

I originally used this fund during my relocation from Los Angeles to Tampa, FL last September of 2020 and raised $1740. This fund was used for food, fuel, travel expenses, hotel while in transit, and short-term housing expenses once I arrived in Tampa . I am raising the fundraising goal to meet the needs of extraordinary expenses associated with finally establishing residence such as utility deposits, vehicle registrations and initial fees, insurance premiums due to renewal & policy changes, and pay off a small CC I used to help me get through the initial move. This updated fund will help continue to provide me with the financial stability I need to address the cares and concerns I have ahead of me.

Please share amongst your friends, family, coworkers, partners, advocacy groups, service organizations, business associates, and others willing to help a father, friend, brother in Christ, and vet in need.

I also started a public list on Amazon for people to contribute directly by purchasing  items to help furnish and supply my new residence in Tampa. If you choose to remain anonymous, I will be attempting to source furniture locally by free marketplace listings and solid, quality furniture from thrift stores and other resources. Thank you - It takes ALL of us and every bit matters!!! I greatly appreciate your willingness to be a part of TEAM VoS and the amazing journey on the road to BMT.
