Bradley's Mounting Medical Expenses

As so many of you have asked how to help Bradley Wasinda after he suffered a major stroke on February 23rd, that time is now and this is how.

On the evening of the 23rd, I received a text from my friend that he could not feel his arm, that he could not walk and that he was scared. I raced over and after taking one look at my friend, I called an ambulance.  He was transported to TGH and it was there, at the ER room of Tampa General Hospital, that they confirmed that my young(ish) friend suffered a very serious stroke. Bradley spent weeks in a recovery room, a few underlying health conditions were identified that will require attention and medications for the rest of his life.

On March 11th, Bradley was moved to an acute rehab floor. He worked hard, several times a day, to regain use of his left arm and hand. He worked hard at learned to walk again independently, to use the restroom and bathe again. He was told from the start of this awful scenario that it would be a long road to recovery.

On March 23rd Bradley was released. He is continuing to recover with the help of roommates and family and friends. He is still unable to return to work, but with a lot of continued effort, there is hope, for a full recovery one day.

As if all of this wasn't traumatizing enough, the medical bills have began to roll in and they are shockingly high. (The hospital bills for a month long stay are almost $200,000)  His monthly prescriptions alone are currently $1100/month, out of pocket.  Luckily Bradley has a strong support network of family and friends, and he and I figured for those who have reached out and asked how to help, this would be the best avenue for that. He is incredibly grateful for good people in his life. It was very touching to see how many people care and for that I thank you all for everything.
