Hi everyone, my name is Brad, and I’m currently a student at Acadia School of Massage in Bar Harbor, Maine. I’m raising funds to help cover my massage therapy tuition and related expenses as I continue this important chapter of my healing journey and my work in service to others.
For me, this path isn’t just about learning massage — it’s about learning to connect more deeply with the body, the spirit, and community. After years of personal healing, I’ve come to understand that true wellness begins within. Massage therapy has become a way for me to embody that truth and share it with others.
As a Penobscot person, I believe that community is an expression of our wholeness — each of us contributing our gifts to the balance of the whole. In our way, caring for ourselves is inseparable from caring for one another. Through this training, I’m learning proper body mechanics, safe practice, and the deeper art of presence — so that I can hold space for healing in my community with integrity, compassion, and strength.
Unfortunately, massage therapy education receives very limited financial aid or scholarship support. Most programs, including mine, are not federally funded or accredited for traditional student loans or grants. This means that many aspiring healers have to pay out of pocket or rely on their communities for support to complete training.
This program is a stepping stone toward offering healing work rooted in Indigenous values — bodywork that honors balance, connection, and reciprocity. It’s my goal to provide massage and energy work within my community, where access to holistic care is limited but deeply needed.
Your support will help me cover:
Tuition and required books/supplies
Licensing and exam fees
Transportation to and from Bar Harbor
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps me take another step toward completing this training and bringing these teachings home.
Thank you for believing in me, for supporting Indigenous healers, and for helping me follow a path that allows personal healing to ripple outward — strengthening the health of the whole.
Woliwon (thank you) for your kindness and generosity.
— Brad
