Hi my name is Carol ….Bradley is my Niece Paula’s Son ….Carol Sam and Emma are going to do a triathlon between us over 4 weeks starting 5th April until May 3rd
Carol will do 200 miles cycling
Sam 20 miles swimming
Emma 50 miles jogging we want to raise funds so Bradley can have something to look forward to after his treatment ends .
Bradley Bulley is 10 years old he’s a pupil at Priory Academy he’s in year 6 he’s a great Chess player and a Liverpool football supporter ⚽️
Bradley as a Rare Craniopharyngioma which grows cysts which are quick growing he was. diagnosed 24/09/2024
He started with blurred vision in his left eye so we went to Specsavers in Worksop he was referred straight to Doncaster Hospital and then to Sheffield Children’s hospital .
He first had to have the cysts drained as they was pressing on his optic nerves.
Ge then had 7 hour surgery Open Brain Surgery on the 03/10/24 to remove the solid part of the tumour. We was told that they had removed more than they expected but they could not remove it all as it was to dangerous to do and did not want to cause more damage to his eyes. The tumour was wrapped around his Pituitary Gland which got damaged during surgery .
Bradley now needs medication for the rest of his life .
He his on 3 lots of meds daily and he’s Adrenal insufficient so if he bangs his head or harms a shock to his body he needs an emergency injection and needs to get rushed to Hospital, he his classes as a priority with the Ambulance if this ever happens .
He also needs daily growth hormones injections because of the damage to his pituitary gland he will also be starting Testosterone injections when he’s 12 years old .
He is currently having Proton Beam Therapy at Thw Christie in Manchester there are only 2 Hospitals in England that does this , it is a type of Radiation treatment that minimizes damage to surrounding organs and tissues because he has a 5mm piece of tumour left in between his optic nerve and a major blood vessel to his brain the Surgeons will not operate as it’s to dangerous to do so he’s got 28 sessions of therapy and 6 weeks after we will find out if it’s successful or not.
Bradley is a Brave courageous Boy and he so deserves a holiday and treats because it’s been such a tough time for him and he’s still kept smiling so please donate no matter how small ❤️ Good luck to Carol Sam Emma xxx
