Hi, my name is Sophia, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my boyfriend, Jack Bell.

On November 29, we lost Jack’s father, Bradley Bell. Brad lived a difficult life, but he was a man who always tried to find the bright side, no matter how heavy his struggles were. He was proud of the work he did in the film industry, and that pride carried him through some of his hardest moments.

Shortly after Jack was born in 2001, Brad’s wife and Jack’s mother, Lynn Mallay, passed away on May 22, 2013 after a battle with cancer. Losing Lynn broke Brad in ways he never fully recovered from. He turned to substances to cope and spent the rest of his life fighting that addiction.

Bradley was not a perfect man — few of us are — but he was once someone’s baby, and he remained a father who loved his son in the ways he was able. Now Jack, who has no parents left, deserves the chance to grieve and honour his father with dignity.

We are hoping to give Bradley the respectful arrangements he deserves after so many years of suffering. Any support, no matter the amount, will go directly toward the costs of his final arrangements and helping Jack through this incredibly difficult time.
