Braden Wilson, age 15, passed away from RARE complications of COVID-19, MIS-C.
My name is Clarissa. It is with great sorrow that I have to share the news of the death of my nephew, Braden. I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister and family. I am asking those who knew and loved Braden, and those who feel touched by his story, to help my family in our time of grief and need. Your donation will go towards Braden's memorial service and medical expenses. These unexpected costs are expensive! Money should not be something my sister, Amanda, should have to worry about right now. She needs stress-free time to mourn and heal from the loss of her only child, while simultaneously recovering from her own battle with Covid.
Braden was a sophomore in High School. His unexpected passing has left everyone he knew devastated. The pain and heartache is all too real for his close-knit family and community. He was a kind-hearted spirit that cared deeply about his family, friends, and art. He was, and will always be, the glue that keeps our family together. He loved spending time with everyone and laughing and having fun. He was pure of heart and was strong throughout his life! He had fears, but always pushed through them and would come out stronger. He was truly brave and sweet, and smarter than his years. He did things his own way and didn't follow the norm.
He spoke to his 8th grade graduating class two years ago. He said, "There will be days when you will want to cry into a little ball. There will be days when you feel like you are going to explode. And there will be days when you will get headaches. Those days are never fun. But there are good days too..... There will be days when you feel everything is going your way, and there will be days when you just feel happy! But the people around you might be having a bad day. So when you see that, don't just stand there and ignore them. Help them, listen to them, and be there for them. It only takes a small deed to brighten someone else's day."

Additionally, Amanda has decided to set up a memorial scholarship fund in Braden's name and honor.
Any funds over the goal will go towards establishing this scholarship fund to support children who wish to pursue their passions in the areas of arts and technology.
