On December 13th 2015, Brad and Carissa Schuster were faced with an emergency delivery of their baby boy Canaan Anthony at 20 weeks. He was born "straight into heaven", as Carissa wrote on her Facebook page.
In the wake of such heartbreaking loss, they are now facing financial burden much beyond what they can meet. Carissa's insurance was dropped early last year in an effort to keep up with their daughter Paisley's medical bills for Type 1 Diabetes.
The sudden loss of their son meant he was delivered without coverage, even though they had a new insurance plan set to begin January 1st of this year.
These medical bills not only mean a financial fallout that is incredibly stressful, but they are also reminded with each bill that their son is not at home with them.
Please come alongside our friends and donate whatever gift is in your ability. The gift of money is one of the ways we can serve this family as they naviagte the hardest road and the loss of their child.
Please share this on your Facebook pages and with your friends even if they do not know the Schuster's to help broaden the scope of help we can offer them.
I know the Schusters are humbled by their need and are beyond blessed by the meals and outpouring of love they have already received from each of you. Thank you for helping them in their time of need!
Carissa posted this on her Facebook page:
"My heart is grieving, but I'm met with an incredible peace and comfort that surpasses all my understanding. Filled with love, hope, and thanksgiving that I serve such an amazing God who is surrounding us with His presence that is like none other. We love our first born son. I am grateful for each day he was with me."
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10
