Friends,
My Brother-In-Law and best friend has been going through a very difficult time. An open wound developed on his hip which included staph infection. After a couple months of wound care treatment (self pay), it continued to get worse so they determined surgery was a must. The surgery cleaned out the wound but also exposed the fact that the wound went all the way to his femur bone due to the infection. As of this posting he's been in the hospital 11 days and counting.
Moving forward he has at least 5 more weeks of inter venous (IV) antibiotics, most likely 2-3 months of a wound VAC continuous treatment and home care nurses several times a week to administer all of this!
The medical costs have accumulated and continue to rise. Starting with wound care received this spring combined with, as of this posting, 11 days in the hospital, MRI, CT Scan, Surgery and several months of care ahead. and... He has no medical insurance.
Please understand Brad is the guy who has ALWAYS worked and taken care of his family - ALWAYS! Because he is self employed he hasn't been able to work through much of the last several months which has exacerbated the situation.
Our goal is to help cover a good portion of the costs for Brad and Kris. They are beautiful people that are used to helping others and not the other way around. This is where WE come in... Any help is appreciated.
Thank you all for your thoughts and consideration.
