Brad Stein Memorial Run for Charity

Three years ago we painfully lost Brad Stein to a motor vehicle accident.  Brad was not only my uncle but also one of my dearest friends.  He impacted the lives of everyone he interacted with  -- he was intelligent, kind, compassionate, and hilarious.  Your sense of humor was likely not as twisted as his, but he surely made you laugh.  He adored his family, he loved his friends, and was passionate about everything he did.

Brad was very active with philanthropic causes, in both his personal and professional lives.  Habitat for Humanity?  Brad was there swinging a hammer.  Social media fund raisers?  He was always active responding and donating to friends (and friends of friends) Facebook posts just like this one .

He was also especially passionate about helping Children's Home & Aid (www.childrenshomeandaid.org) located in his adopted hometown area of Chicago, IL.  Brad and his amazing wife Debi helped this cause for years, focusing on the Christmas Holiday season by seeking donations and gifts for those less fortunate.  In December of 2014 they helped raise $25,000 for the charity, $10,000 more than the previous years effort.  Here is a link to a story about  the amazing help they provided this charity:  http://rockrivertimes.com/2014/11/24/ribbon-cutting-for-childrens-holiday-shoppe-nov-26-shop-is-open-nov-29-dec-21/

In memory of Brad's amazing life and spirit, I am running in a 5K race on August 11, 2018 in Asbury Park, NJ (http://www.sheehanclassic.org/).  I am asking my family, friends, and friends of friends to please donate ANY amount of money via this GoFundMe page.  All proceeds will go directly to Children's Home & Aid in Brad's name.

SOLD OUT! - In the spirit of keeping Brad's sense of humor alive, the first two (2) donors that contribute $250 or more will be able to choose what I wear for the 5K race.  One donor may choose the top/shirt I wear, the other may choose the bottoms/shorts that I wear.  My only request is that the clothing choices must be safe/healthy for running.  Knowing my family and Uncle Brad's friends, this will likely be hilarious/embarrassing but well worth the cause.  Pre- and post-race pictures will be provided!

Thank you for your help and consideration.  Please share this page!
