Brad Ramirez's End of Life Costs

Donation protected
Brad took his last breaths with my mom and I by his side. His soul left this Earth on 02/08/2020. It is with deep sadness that I make this request for my brother's departure. Everyone that knows Brad, knows that he is a hard worker and loves music of all kinds, loves the Houston Rockets and racing. He is also an extremely private person. Sometimes so private to a fault. I know that so many people love and care about him and have wanted to help. And many of you may not have known. Now is when we need your help the most.

So, at this time I have to decided to share a compact version of his story, so that I can openly grieve and people can help us send him to the heavens the way he deserves.
Our entire family has had many trials and tribulations but this is the hardest by far.

Brad is sadly losing his battle with a Glioblastoma Malforme Brain Tumor.
He was having undiagnosed health issues starting the summer of 2018 that progressively got worse. Come to find out were all complications from the brain tumor. He was officially diagnosed in December 2018. Brad had a craniotomy in April of 2019. Once the surgery was done, the doctor diagnosed him with the Glioblastoma. Pathology results later confirmed.
It is a malignant tumor affecting the brain and spine. This type of tumor grows and spreads rapidly, often creating pressure. With that kind of tumor, they only give survival of an average of 11-15 months with treatment. He spent many weeks of time in th hospital and then went to a rehabilitation center for a few weeks before going home. Brad endured a combination of radiation and chemo therapy treatments for several months. Then hospitalized again in June due to a saddle pulmonary embolism. After he was treated for that, a while there was no shrinkage, no growth of the tumor and he was doing rather well. Oral chemo was very hard on him and the doctor changed it to infusions and he had treatments regularly. He went to his appointment for chemo and his MRI at the end of December 2019 and shortly after is when his doctor notified us that the tumor had come back with a vengeance and that there was no further treatments that would help him. At that point he suggested Brad start hospice care, giving him only weeks left to live. Even though he told us last year and we all read about the condition, it's still a very tough situation. It's been very very hard to remain strong. Although his quality of life is getting worse, Brad still wants to live. He has not given up. My mother and I have been the only ones that Brad has wished to have close to him as he's battled this. I help when and as much as I can but she's the one that has dedicated the past year of her life to take care of him and be there for his every need.
He is losing mobility and he is at a rapid decline. The tumor is terrible and after all he has endured he always had faith and hope that he would get better and go back to work. He told me he was just wanted a chance to enjoy himself and go to a concert. It breaks my whole heart. Him being so young at 41, it's devastating to have to plan for his funeral. Brad is my closest sibling and one of my best friends. Please if you can, help us during this devastating time. If Brad is your kin, friend, old co-worker, or childhood classmate, or if you love one of us family members, please, please share and donate if you can.
Any amount is appreciated.
This is where you can all help our family to give Brad the farewell he deserves, as well as some of his end of life expenses.
From the bottom of my heart, Thank you and God bless you.
