My father in law Russ Wayne has battled glioblastoma for 3.5 years. In honor of Russ, I'm raising funds for the American Cancer Society.
Russ' cancer is aggressive, and he's more than beaten the odds by giving us—including his seven grand children—more than three additional years with him. We're proud of him for the fight.
Unfortunately, after some recent scans, we've found out that Russ is out of options and at the end of his battle. In his honor, I am raising funds to possibly help other families in the future.
The American Cancer Society is hosting a cycling challenge for October, and I've joined the battle.
I’m biking 300 miles to help the American Cancer Society fight to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. This is cause is very near to my heart, as I have many other family members who have battled cancer.
How I'm tracking
I'll be counting miles on the mountain bike and road bike. This will be the most I've ever logged in a month. In September I logged the most I've ever done at 116 miles, so this will be a record for me. I'll share each session here.
Please consider donating because every little bit helps. Thank you for your support!
