Brad & Kelley Walters Emergency! Big Tree Bummer

Brad and Kelley Walters experienced a terrifying disaster last night. Around 1am, a 60+ foot, 7 foot round tree uprooted from powerful winds and tore through their entire home. They had jumped out of bed only minutes before when they heard the the cracking branches falling outside. The tree flew through every room in their home and they lost everything. Every room, including the bed they had just left, is destroyed. We are all so lucky they are physically okay. Brad, Kelley, and their pup Mud are safe (aside from a minor injury on Brad). They are shaken from the near-death experience and have a long road of rebuilding ahead of them. Their home is a totaled tear-down and even going inside to gather belongings isn’t possible at this point as the tree settles in.

They do have insurance and their claim should kick in soon to get them the immediate essentials. But for now, all Brad and Kelley got for Christmas is a smashed home. They bring so much love and cheer to other folks, I’m hoping we can pull together to bring them some holiday cheer and maybe help to warm their hearts. They both work their butts off and I’m hoping a friendly cushion by mutual aid might take some of the weight off their shoulders.
