Brad dedicated his life to helping people.
In this twenties he ran a non-profit in Peru that help to provide breakfast to impoverished communities. I wish I could remember the total number of breakfasts his non-profit provided over the years, we did the calculations once and it was well into the hundreds of thousands. He had several communities that he was feeding up to 500+ children daily.
Community Operated Breakfast Program--
Provides a nutritional breakfast while incorporating themes of empowerment, personal responsibility, community leadership and development.
In lieu of a service for Brad, I would like to donate to children in need to carry on his life's passion and spirit.
Brad introduced me to the UNICEF Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) program. They provide one child with a two month's supply of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUFT) — enough to bring a listless child back to good health (a $55 USD donation provides the two month supply to a single child). It is peanut paste that is easy for mothers to use at home and doesn't need to be mixed with water.
If we reach my goal, we will feed 50 children for 2 months with critical nutrients that can sometimes save their lives, in Brad's honor.
Please do not feel obligated to donate. I will treasure the wonderful words you shared with me about Brad for the rest of my life and I can never thank you enough for that.
Below are some of the wonderful pictures from Brad's non-profit. I love the first one, he was so young with such a huge smile!
