Hi, my name is Sarah Lenardson, and I've created this fundraiser to help my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brad and Erin and their girls through a traumatic and unexpected catastrophe.

In the early morning hours of August 9, a flash rainstorm dropped 3 inches of rain in a short period of time on Brad and Erin Lenardsons’ home. The roof was in the process of being replaced and was tarped with no forecasted rain overnight, but the flash wind and rain storm were strong, and water got into the house. Ultimately the ceilings in most of the house collapsed, resulting in severe water damage to the interior of the home.

Fortunately, no one was hurt. However, much of the family's belongings were damaged or lost. The house is uninhabitable and will be gutted to the studs in every room. The Lenardson family and their pets (4 dogs and 2 cats) will need to live in a rental property for at least 6 mos (possibly a full year), pending the construction timeline. Funds raised here will support their immediate needs (Girls going back to school, replacing lost clothing, computers and other essentials, feeding volunteers helping at their property) as they await their detailed insurance assessment.
