Hi,

Myself (Brad) and Alex from SWCP United will taking on a backyard ultramarathon in August this year.

We will need to run 4.2 miles (6.7k) on the hour every hour until we either drop out or don’t finish the lap in time. The only rest we will get is any time inbetween laps once we’ve finished the lap we’re on.

We were inspired to do this run by the BPN BackYard Ultramarathon in Texas. This years winner completed a mind blowing 306 miles in 73 hours!

We are running the ultramarathon to raise money for our football club SWCP United. It’s a Cerebral Palsy specific football club, and we play in the Cerebral Palsy National League and other competitions including tournaments abroad. Previously we’ve played in Barcelona and the USA. We have both been part of the club since it started in 2017 and previous to that we were part of the South West Centre of Excellence squad since we were 11 or 12.

The money we raise will go towards pitch cost, travel costs, kit costs and other general club costs.
