With so much uncertainty, we are setting our pride aside and seeking the help of our friends, family, and community. As many know, family has always been our #1 reason for living. On Tuesday afternoon, aprox 3:30pm, my nephew was in very bad bike accident. The force at which he hit a house was loud enough for the homeowners to call the police stating that it sounded like a car hit the house. We are just at the beginning of the very unknown journey we have ahead of us. His mother being a single mom of 5 is relying on us, and friends to help get through this. He was transported to ICU in Rochester, so far, with a broken jaw, eye sockets, and wrist in a medically induced coma. He comes in and out, taking a few breaths on his own, and with the flip of a switch solely relying on the ventilator. There is a long road of surgeries, therapy hospital stays, and missed work. As one of the Brackens he is loved by many, many people and seeking the help of few. He is a loving brother, son, cousin, nephew, grandson, and most importantly best friend. His smile can make light in any dark situation and we would love to be able to bring that big, huge, contagious smile back home, with a little less worry on his mother and siblings. As medical bills are accumulating and loss of work uncertain, we as a whole Bracken family are just seeking a little help. Thank you and God bless!! Daddy Darrius in our prayers!!

06/20-update

Today as of 9:15 Darrius surgery on his wrist is done. With few complications and unforeseen circumstances he is done. C collar most remain on and will need to re assess injuries to head, neck and face. He had his breathing tube taken out and responded with “hi mom” but is back asleep. I do believe with him never taking no for an answer and all the prayers and well wishes he will be on a speedy road to recovery in the near future. As of right now it’s on his will power and Gods hands. THANK YOU everyone!!!
