I would like to introduce you to Ella. She is the daughter of Josh Snyder and Step-daughter to Amy Snyder. She is 9 years old, loves to hunt and fish with her Daddy (often out-fishing him). She also loves music, playing the harmonica and having dance parties with her siblings. She is an amazing little girl. At the age of three Ella was diagnosed with a low-grade Glioma located in her midbrain and brainstem. For the past year she was participating in a clinical trial to help reduce the size of her tumors. She did very well for the last year, then tragedy struck. On Sept. 12th while at St. Judes for her bi-monthly scans she suffered an intratumoral hemorrhage. Ella was in a coma for nearly a month. She is slowly starting to move and try to speak. She has a long way to go and what her life after this will be like is unclear at this time. This week she will be transferring to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for neuro-rehabilitation. I am asking for assistance for this family to help cover medical costs and travel to Cincinnati. It is unclear at this time how long Ella will remain hospitalized and it is likely multiple trips will need to be made as they have three other children at home to care for as well. Every dollar helps!
The donation goal may change once she's been moved as St. Jude utilizes donations to cover medical expenses and family housing, while Cincinnati Children's Hospital does not. Once those medical bills start coming in, an already difficult situation will get harder financially. Their bills from home won't stop either.
Update: Ella has been moved to Cincinnati. She is making many improvements. She still has a very long road ahead of her. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Any funds donated will go to the family to help cover medical expenses for Ella's treatment and recovery. Any funds not used will be donated to St. Judes.
Please, donate if you can. Any little bit helps. If you can't, it's ok, please share. This girl is a fighter, let's show her she's got a village fighting with her!
