The Situation

My aunt is suffering from advanced Diabetic Retinopathy in both eyes. This severe complication of diabetes has caused internal bleeding and scarring on her retina. Currently, she is nearly blind, unable to work, unable to perform daily tasks, and losing the independence she once had.

The Surgery: A Vitrectomy

To save her vision, she requires a specialized surgery called a Vitrectomy for both eyes. This procedure removes damaged gel and repairs the retina to stop further decay.

Why I Am Stepping In Now (Deadline: March 15)

We have been fighting to manage this privately, but her condition is deteriorating rapidly. The hospital has set a surgery deadline of March 15th. If we do not secure the remaining funds by this date, we risk losing her surgical slot and, more importantly, her chance at restoring her vision.
