My name is Ojeme, and I am raising funds to help my mother receive urgent surgery for diabetic retinopathy, a serious complication of diabetes that damages the retina and can lead to blindness. Both of her eyes are affected, leaving her unable to work or perform daily tasks independently.

I am her only child, and she is the only parent I have. The total cost of the surgery for both eyes is £7,500. Through our savings and help from relatives, we have raised £6,000, but we still need £1,500 to proceed with treatment.
