Dear Friends, Family and Community,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts to share my sister in law, Kathy's recent health journey. What began as a trip to the emergency room for what we believed to be a kidney stone turned into devastating news - Kathy has been diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma skin cancer. The cancer has spread rapidly throughout her body, affecting her bones, both lungs, and breast.

Kathy has already begun treatment, undergoing one round of chemotherapy before starting radiation therapy. Unfortunately, during the setup for radiation, her back fractured under the weight of the disease. The cancer has now reached her spine, presenting significant challenges to her mobility and overall well-being.

Since Christmas Day, Kathy has been hospitalized, undergoing surgeries and treatments to stabilize her back and manage the pain. She has already undergone two radiation treatments, but they are currently on hold to allow her back to heal from surgery and regain some strength before resuming cancer treatment.

We are reaching out to our community in hopes of rallying support for Kathy's ongoing medical expenses, rehabilitation, and the upcoming cancer treatments. The financial burden of medical bills, medications, and rehabilitation services is overwhelming, and we humbly ask for your help.
