Hi there, my name is Danielle and I am a transgender woman and here is my story…

On September 17, 2020 I was separated from the United States Navy for being transgender. This event left me jobless, homeless, and without health insurance. But thankfully a dear friend of mine offered to open his home to me and I was able to stay with him. During this time I was able to start my journey by getting on HRT(hormone replacement therapy). And I am proud to announce that I am super close to hitting 2 years on HRT. But for me HRT is only the first step, I have decided that I want to further my transition to help my physical body to match the way I feel it was always meant to be. But sadly many gender affirming surgeries are rarely covered by insurance and I recently decided to pursue getting facial feminization surgery. This is a gender affirming surgery many trans women get to help them fight gender dysphoria and navigate society safely. Because sadly being trans in todays world does make you a target for hate and violence.

Your kind donation will help me to afford my transition goals and help me feel more comfortable in my own body. I would also greatly appreciate if you were able to share this. Thank you all for supporting me in this journey.

Much love,

Danielle
