Hello Everyone! My name is Mariah, I’m from the Bay Area, but I’ve lived in many places. One of which has changed my life forever…
On Friday, September 13th, 2024. I was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer, specifically triple negative breast cancer. It’s one the most rarest forms of breast cancer. Meaning, out of the three most common receptors known to fuel breast cancer. Triple negative does not apply to neither.
Triple negative, is more of an aggressive breast cancer because, they cannot detect what is fueling and creating the cancer cells. Less than 10% of women, have triple negative breast cancer in the US each year.
I am currently cancer free, but still doing treatments for precautions. I have finished 8 months of chemotherapy, surgery for the removal of the tumor, 5 weeks of radiation and currently 2 treatments of immunotherapy, in which I have 7 remaining. I will be doing more chemotherapy, for extra precaution.
As we all know, bills are never fun especially during a time like this. Any contribution, I will deeply appreciate and will be beyond grateful. To help alleviate the cost of these treatments. I thank you all for reading my story and I can’t wait to share more.
Sincerely, Mariah.
