Julie's Journey

Julie has had quite the journey. 

June 14, 2018 Julie underwent surgery to remove a blockage in her colon.  She came through the surgery like a champ and went home after 5 days in the hospital to continue healing.

On June, 21, 2018 Julie received devastating news.  The blockage they removed was malignant, Stage 3b colon cancer.  All the tumor was taken out and they tested 57 lymph nodes.  2 of the lymph nodes had cancer.  There is an extremely high risk of the cancer returning so Julie will undergo chemotherapy for 6 months. 12 rounds, one every 2 weeks for 6 months.

Julie had a port placed on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in preparation for chemo to begin on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.

 Being a small business owner insurance cost to cover the family was an exorbitant expense they could not undertake and medical bills are beginning to mount.  The hospital and medical professionals are been extremely understanding however it is quickly becoming an emotional and financial burden to shoulder.  

I am reaching out to all of Julie's friends.  Anyone who knows this beautiful human is privy to  the biggest, kindest most generous heart.  She is actively involved in her children's education and advocates for the children at her school.  In addition to her involvement at the school she also dedicates time to her daughter's  local Girl Scout Troop.
