Daniella is my beautiful, vibrant 5-year-old child who has been fighting against overwhelming odds since the moment she was born. Due to a hypoxic brain injury at birth, Daniella now lives with severe cerebral palsy (GMFCS Level V) and a long list of complex medical challenges:

• Non-verbal, unable to speak or communicate with words

• NIL by mouth — cannot eat or drink safely

• PEJ tube fed — requiring round-the-clock medical care

• Cortical vision impairment and hearing loss

• Wheelchair-bound and dependent for every basic need

Despite all of this, Daniella continues to show strength, awareness, and joy. Her resilience is beyond words.

As a single parent managing shared care, I do everything I can to give Daniella a full, loving life -but this time, I cannot do it alone. I now have the chance to try a revolutionary brain treatment overseas — and I need your help to make it happen.

A Breakthrough Treatment That Could Change Everything

I am raising funds for a 30-day brain regeneration therapy called Functional Neurogenesis Stimulation (FNS). It is delivered using the NeuroCytotron device, created by a U.S.-based neuroscience company, NeuroCytonix.

This treatment uses targeted neuromodulation to stimulate the brain to form new neural connections, offering hope for improvements in:

✅ Movement and muscle control

✅ Cognitive function

✅ Communication and awareness

✅ Seizure reduction

✅ Overall quality of life

It is already shown incredible promise in children with similar diagnoses, including one child in the Netflix series Lucca’s World, who received this same treatment and made remarkable progress.

You may have seen the powerful Netflix documentary Lucca’s World, about a child with cerebral palsy who underwent this very treatment. Lucca’s improvements were real, visible, and life-changing.

Seeing Lucca’s story gave me something I have needed for a long time: hope.

I do not expect miracles. But even a small improvement, in comfort, awareness, motor control, or communication, would mean the world to Daniella… and to me as a parent.

Why I have Increased Our Fundraising Goal: Planning for Hospital Risks

Because of Daniella’s complex condition, I must be prepared for possible emergency hospital care during our time in Mexico, especially for aspiration pneumonia, which Daniella is medically high-risk for.

While Daniella is currently seizure-free, her limited mobility makes respiratory complications a serious concern. If a hospital admission is required (which could involve oxygen support, IV antibiotics, and respiratory therapy), it would come without insurance coverage and at private hospital rates in Mexico.

➡️ A moderate hospital admission for aspiration pneumonia in Monterrey could cost $30,000 AUD.

That’s why I am adding a safety buffer to my fundraising goal, to ensure I can give Daniella the care she needs without delay or compromise, should complications arise.
