Have a heart for Jason?
Donation protected
Hey everyone,
This is Frank.
Our good friend Jason Rappoport had a defect in his heart that took out his kidneys. I have watched this man slowly decline in his ability to even walk.
The doctors finally put him on the transplant registry. He had to have both a transplant of his heart and a kidney from the same donor. His health declined to the point where he was admitted to the hospital until a donor could be found.
After 12 days in the hospital, a hero aged 30 years donated his heart and kidney to help restore life into Jason's failing body. The operation itself was a success. However, due to the anticoagulants and immune suppressants, he had to have another emergency surgery on his pancreas to stop it from bleeding due to the inflammation.
*Hey everyone, Keely here, with an update to our story.
Jason’s pancreatitis, the inflamed pancreas that Frank mentioned above, has become a much more serious. Jason’s acute pancreatitis has become the necrotizing hemorrhagic form which is the worst kind you can have. It can require 6-8 months of hospitalization to treat and we, of course, have Jason’s precious new organs to protect as well.
This is going to be a very long & very expensive illness to treat.
This is where you, the reader come in.
The health insurance is now capped out, they owed $9,000 to Vandy before the operation. (Photo below)
Keely isn’t able to work. She must be at Jason's side every moment, and the pipes in their house froze during Christmas.
We don't even have a projected day he will be released from the hospital as the bills keep mounting.
I am asking everyone to dig really deep. Please give as much as you can. Let's give Jason and Keely help where they need it most. I can't wait to see this man rocking with the new life God himself gave him.
Let's come together as friends and ease the burden they are under. They are more than friends, they are family. Let's show them how much we all stick together in times of need.
Thank you, and may God bless,
Frank
