Hello, my name is Kecha Frazier. As of February 9, 2023, I’ve been transported back and forth to work by my kindhearted coworkers. I drive the school bus in the morning, assist my Kindergarten teacher for 8 hours, and then take some students home from our school for others to get home in time to spend time with their families. This is probably one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I’m always willing to help, but it is very hard for me to ask for help. Hence the reason it took me almost an entire month to just get the nerves to say, “I need help”.

I had just downgraded my insurance in December with the intentions to upgrade this month. Just trying to offset some bills. Never would I have imagined that I would be called out of class to be told, “first, I just want you to know that your son is okay, however, your car is not”. First off, I am thankful that my son was not severely injured or even worse after having a grand mal seizure behind the wheel. The doctor said that besides the seatbelt and airbags deploying, the seizure help keep him alive through the impact.

While dealing with the change in circumstances, I had to deal with the insurance companies, where I found out that the gap insurance that I purchase will not pay out until my regular insurance company paid and with PIP it won’t and here I am. My coworkers have been fabulous even ensuring that I have my coffee from Dunkin. I really don’t know what I would have done without them. However, I am ready to get back to somewhat of a normal life. Like not forgetting my shades to battle the sun and infringing on their day because the have to get up earlier or leave their post to come get me or go the opposite way of home once they have clocked out for the day.

My dear friend has found a car for me for $2,000. But because I’m still paying on the totaled car, funds are very slim. I told him that I would have the money by the 15th of March. As you already know educators do not get paid well in the first place. I help care for my special needs grandson and his sisters too. I have not been able to get to the grocery store, relying on the convenience store for milk, bread, eggs and pizza. By helping me buy a cash car, paying off the $17,000+ debt will be a little easier to chew. Thank you in advance for your time. And even if you can’t donate; I will accept all prayers of the righteous
