Update: The dealership has been so incredibly kind and helpful. They got me into an identical car with a very low down payment and the same payments! So I have lowered the goal based on some outside donations. I cannot thank everyone enough for your generosity. I could not do it without you.

After years of driving a used and barely working car, I managed to save enough money for a down payment on a brand new Nissan Kicks SV. (My first brand new car.) I loved the heck out of that thing, but only for a very short 12 hours (maybe), as someone took an illegal turn and slammed right into my bumper. They didn’t have insurance.

After getting over the initial shock and trauma of the crash, I took it in to get it fixed and let the insurance sort out the rest. I had full coverage, gap insurance, and uninsured driver coverage. I did everything to cover myself. To my initial delight, they thought it would only be a few grand in damages (which insurance would cover) and I would be on the road again in no time! They came back with the sad news that they had to total the car because there was more damage than they thought, and we all know how parts and labor are so damn expensive these days.

I’m reaching with a hurting and frustrated heart to anyone that could donate ANY amount of money so I can try and make a down payment as I poured all my money into the last one, and now I have no car which is essential for a single mom with 2 kids.
