IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR BELOVED MOM

Hello everyone, my name is Cory Silva, I'm the son of Helen Silva Olivas AKA Mom's. Mom's lived with me these past 6 1/2-7 years. I took care of mom's alone until recently receiving help from my fiance Stella who moved in with us in January 2022. At 95 years old Mom's was an incredibly amazing woman. Mom's never lost her sense of humor always saying something funny and laughing at my silly sense of humor. Mom's was a very strong woman. Even after losing three children Mom's remained strong. Mom's loved watching old black and white movies. Mom's loved Betty Davis. Mom's was loved by everyone, including many fans from my Cory Silva Oldies Show. Mom's was truly my number 1 fan loving to hear the music. Life will definitely never be the same without Mom's. The absense of Mom's presence is very painful. In the early hours of June 20th I went into Mom's room like I did every morning to make sure Mom's was awake so I could make her breakfast and coffee. I immediately noticed something was wrong when Mom's was still laying down at 9:06 am. I walked in her room and noticed Mom's was awake but doing nothing but moving her fingers. I started talking to Mom's and immediately noticed the slur in her voice when Mom's answered. My fiance Stella came into the room and also noticed Mom's slur in her speech. Within 10-15 minutes Stella and I decided to call the paramedics. Mom's was taken to the hospital. Within a couple of days the doctor through several tests determined that Mom's had a stroke. The stroke damaged Mom's ability to swallow. Mom's was released from the hospital on hospice. At Mom's age of 95 there was nothing that could have been done. Any procedure would have only complicated matters. On June 26, 2022 at 11:20 am Mom's passed away peacefully. Your donation to help in Mom's final expenses will be appreciated.
