Chris is a charismatic, humble, generous human being and entertainer at heart. He is an extremely hard worker who has always lived within his means. In this over saturated entertainment industry, it’s a constant struggle to receive consistent work to support oneself. And, most of the money you make ends up being put back into up-keeping and honing your skills such as, classes, casting sites, headshots, etc. Let alone being able to afford one’s bills. It is because of this, why people in the entertainment industry always have second or third jobs… to survive. This has been Chris’ life for almost 10 years now. And, the only reason why he continues to look past these struggles is his love for performance. He dreams of a future to be able to support himself fully, only doing what he loves.

While shooting to achieve this dream, Chris has put quite a toll on his body. Working long hours at a physical labor job with little to no rest at times. Unfortunately, the constant overworking of himself has finally caught up to him. He encountered a serious injury that would keep him off his feet for the foreseeable future. While playing basketball with some friends, he suffered a 2-3cm rupture to his Achilles tendon. To a man who makes all his living entirely on his mobility, this has put all his work, income, and progress to a halt. With accruing medical bills and an insurance that will only cover a fraction of the cost of surgery, Chris is finding himself struggling to bring himself back to full health.

When the injury occurred, Chris was uninsured, leading to out-of-pocket expenses over $1500 from doctor's visits, X-rays, an MRI and blood work. And now even with the most affordable insurance plan Chris could attain, he is still looking at a $5000 deductible and paying for 50% of the surgery costs ($9500). For Chris, who loves to extend a hand and offer his help whenever needed of others, it is not as easy for him to ask for it.
