Bellevue Performance Dance Academy (BPM) Senior Black is an All-Star competitive Dance Team made up of 11 young women who represent 6 different schools. These women have worked tirelessly over the past 8 months, often times practicing for up to 12 hours at a time, in effort to reach their goal of attending the USASF World Championships in Orlando, FL. They are all excellent students, participate in leadership, ASB and other school activities, as well as their respective High School cheer, volleyball and dance teams. They balance heavy academic loads with our stringent practice and travel schedule. BPM is now in our third season, and are honored to have earned the opportunity to represent Washington at WORLDS. The past two seasons we have ranked 9th (2014) and 8th (2015) in the WORLD, and are determined to continue to climb in the rankings.
This season, we have had the opportunity to travel all over the country to compete. We earned our invitation to WORLDS from JamFest Super Nationals in Cincinnati, OH. JamFest is the largest and most prestigious event in the country. Over 700 teams competed over a 3 day championship, with nearly 100 teams vying for a WORLDS bid invitation. We were one of 13 teams selected to represent JamFest on an At-Large Bid. This At-Large bid gives us an invitation to compete at WORLDS, but at our own cost.
We are so excited about this opportunity, but we need your help! Competing at WORLDS will cost each of our dancers approximately $1,500, or a grand total of $16,500. We are dedicated to not only preparing our routine to be as competitive as possible, but also to working as hard as we possibly can to earn the money to make our dreams come true. Your donation would help us pay for travel (airfare/hotel), competition dues, costume, choreography, transportation and music.
Our journey to WORLDS starts NOW! WORLDS is coming up quickly, and April 20th will be here before we know it!
