My career/my life has been going along swimmingly, until I was diagnosed with breast cancer. 12 weeks of chemo. Followed by another 12 weeks of a more mighty concoction of chemo. Followed by surgery. Followed by more chemo and radiation. This is no small matter.

The prescriptions will come close to $10,000 alone with all the other expenses on top.

Thank the sky above and the earth below that I live in an amazing supportive community in NW Washington, almost Canada.

I'm doing this all alone, but for the help of so many kind friends and new friends.

I'm an artist. I have enough work to continue my show schedule with a show in Denver in March, a show in Seattle in July, a group show in Eugene, and a group show at the Museum of Northwest Art, La Conner, WA, but painting has slowed almost to a stop.
