Dear Friends,
On Saturday, February 15, 2025, Billy "MAC" and I are trading in our warm winter coats for bathing suits and taking a daring leap into the icy waters of Highland Lake in Bridgton, Maine. Yes, you read that right — I’m participating in a "Polar Plunge"! Why, you ask? It’s all to raise money for the incredible animals at Harvest Hills Animal Shelter.
Picture this: A freezing cold winter morning, the lake shimmering under a pale sun, and a crowd of brave souls (including BIG MAC and I) preparing to make a splash in water cold enough to take your breath away. It’s going to be a moment of pure adrenaline, but more importantly, it’s an opportunity to make a real difference for animals in need.
Harvest Hills Animal Shelter does amazing work, providing care, shelter, and a second chance to animals who have nowhere else to turn. From scruffy pups looking for forever homes to shy kittens needing extra love, the shelter is a lifeline for so many furry friends. But they can’t do it without support from people like us.
That’s where you come in. By donating to my Polar Plunge fundraiser, you’re helping ensure that Harvest Hills has the resources to continue their vital work. Your contribution will go directly toward food, medical care, and safe shelter for the animals, giving them the best possible chance at a happy life.
I’m setting a fundraising goal of $2,500.00, and every dollar counts. Your donation and support mean the world to me and the animals at Harvest Hills. Plus, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that you’re cheering me on as I take the plunge — literally!
Thank you for helping me make a splash for the animals. Together, we can make a big difference, one chilly leap at a time.
With gratitude and maybe a little shiver,
Nick G / Bill MacDonald as pictured above
