Hi, my name is Haley and I’m fundraising on behalf of my dad (Martin). On January 13, 2023 (dads birthday) he was hospitalized and diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Thankfully doctors’ caught it early which allows for him to have a fighting chance, but it won’t be easy. His treatment plan consists of: 6 months of chemotherapy followed by a very invasive whipple surgery. However his spirits are beaten. He is overwhelmed with finances as he recently had to use all of his savings and take out credit cards to salvage his property after hurricane Ida destroyed it. To add insult to injury his AC broke yesterday. With everything seemingly going wrong it’s easy to see why my dad is down. My purpose of this fundraiser is to lessen the financial burden on this long road ahead of him and lift his spirits so he can fight like the fighter he is.
