As many know, the last couple of years Jaylee has been in a wheelchair. It has given her some independence to be able to move around as she wants to, however, we have figured out that hauling the chair is not simple. The current setup we have has limitations, if it is raining we cannot travel with the chair on the ramp due to the electronics & battery on the chair. Additionally, Jaylee is getting older & bigger and we are in need of a more adaptable vehicle to get her to and from places with ease.
Jaylee will soon be turning 15 and many of her friends are getting vehicles. We are not ones to ask for help, but we know this goal isn’t possible without it. We would like to purchase Jaylee a handicap accessible van. We also want this to be Jaylee’s “car” so she doesn’t feel left out amongst her friends who are getting vehicles.
Jaylee has been through so much in her life and still doesn’t let it get her down, she is always smiling and loves everyone. This is one thing that would make her so happy and that’s exactly what we want to do.
If unable to donate we understand, we just ask that you please share. All donations go to Jaylees grandma, Pam McDonald, who has been in contact with a family who has a van for sale so it/one may be purchased. The family was asking $25,000 and has graciously donated $2,000 for Jaylee, bringing our goal down to $23,000.
Thank you to everyone in advance for helping Jaylee get a vehicle that better suits her needs.
