Armando “Boy” Balaoro’s Celebration of Life

Dear Family & Friends,

We didn’t think it would happen to us, but it did.

Many of our friends and family have suffered because of the COVID19 pandemic and recently, it has hit home for us. It is with heavy hearts that we share with you that our brother Armando “Boy” Balaoro has left us to be with our Almighty Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday February 21, 2021 at 3:30 in the morning due to COVID19 related complications.

Kuya (a Tagalog word for older brother) Boy lived most of his life in the Philippines while his mother and siblings lived in California, United States. Because of his marital status at the time of family emigration, he was left behind in our home country where he lived with his wife Vangie until she lost her battle with colon cancer in 2009. They have one son, Alex, and two grandkids.

After years of waiting, his US petition was approved and he was finally reunited with Nanay Miling in 2018. We all know what life in the US is like and immediately, Kuya Boy was able to find work. Because of his desire to help out his family in the Philippines, he worked tirelessly, even 7 days a week because he selflessly thought a day of work is better than just sitting around resting at home. His generous heart has helped many of our family and friends in the Philippines and he never refused anyone who asked for help. He never forgot the people who helped him back home and sought to give back whenever he could.

Sometimes, we would tell him to keep his money so he can retire in the Philippines just like what he wanted, but he felt good giving and his kindness and generosity is immeasurable. We wholeheartedly believe that he touched many lives through his love, his jokes and his giving soul.

Our family now would like to celebrate his life and we humbly ask you for any donations that would help us out in the settlement of his hospital expenses and funeral arrangements. We would also happily accept and will be forever grateful for prayers for the eternal repose of his soul. Thank you very much in advance.

Your sisters and brothers in Christ,

Balaoro Family
