The National Championship tournament is July 20-25, 2021 in Sarasota, Florida and this team needs your help to get there! The goal/intention is to bring the National Trophy home to Santa Barbara and add another star to our club logo!

After many years of playing together, the close-knit Santa Barbara Soccer Club’s U-18 Boys 2003 Elite team seems to be hitting their stride and bringing home trophies! Last week the team, coached by Rudy Ybarra and Oscar Hernandez brought home the win at the Far West Regional Tournament which was held this year in Boise, Idaho. This is the fourth big win this season, and is especially exciting given the challenges of the pandemic and getting these players seen by college coaches. This team's most recent accomplishments:

-Finished at the top of the table in their league, the prestigious CSL Premier Division
-Finished First at the esteemed Surf Cup tournament in January, 2021. 
-Finished First in CalSouth’s Regional National Cup qualifier
-Finished First in the Far West Regional qualifier....which as a result,
-Earned these players a spot in the National Championship tournament, to be held in Sarasota, Florida.

This is an incredible opportunity for these dedicated young men to compete for and bring home a National Championship. More importantly, this is a chance for these young men to be seen and recruited by colleges. This is something that they have all been working towards and is starting to happen. 

The team has been fortunate in community support, however there are still thousands of dollars in expenses that are quickly accumulating. Please reach out to manager Beth Goodman with any questions regarding this team and trip.
